Michuki Park Clean-up Drive

KCAU Town Campus Students and staff in partnership with the Kenya Red Cross Society held a successful community outreach service on 30th June 2022 at Michuki Park in Nairobi County. In the spirit of corporate special responsibility, a group of 109 participants composed of Town Campus students, staff, and volunteers from the Kenya Red Cross Society spent the day in an environmental clean-up drive at the park. In addition, the group donated food and clothes to street families living around the park.

 

The head of Academics – Dr. Catherine Gatari, who also attended the event stressed the importance of giving back to society. ‘‘Giving back to humanity is like giving back to God”, she said. The event was graced and opened by Town Campus Director- Dr. Ibrahim Tirimba Ondabu (Standing far right) who commended the students for heeding the call to give back to the community. We are grateful to the County Government of Nairobi, The Michuki Park Management, and the following members of the committee that made the day a success:
