Mazingira Day tree planting activity organized by Mr. and Miss KCAU Town Campus

Mazingira Day tree planting activity was organized by Mr. and Miss KCAU Town Campus as part of KCA University’s ongoing environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives. The event aimed to promote environmental conservation while strengthening the bond between KCA University students and the wider community through collaboration, mentorship, and hands-on environmental action.

The activity took place at Komarock South Primary School and brought together students, staff like our Campus Director Dr. IbrahimTirimba and Madam Nativity Mwimah, the Fashion Tales 360 club’s patron to plant trees and share knowledge on sustainable living.

The event began with departure from KCA University Town Campus at 10:00 Am with all participants arriving at Komarock South Primary School by 11:00AM.
Activities included:

• Welcoming remarks by the school administration.
• Remarks from the Campus Director, the Club Patron and Mr. & Miss KCA University Town Campus.
• A short talk on the importance of tree planting and sustainability.
• The tree planting exercise involving both KCA University students and Komarock learners.
• Watering trees.
• Closing remarks, refreshments, photo session, and departure at 2:40 PM.

Mazingira Day was more than just a tree planting exercise — it was a meaningful exchange of knowledge, unity, and environmental stewardship. The event demonstrated KCA University’s commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
Future plans include continuous monitoring of the planted trees and organizing follow-up activities to sustain environmental awareness and involvement among both institutions.
